Attorney Profiles

Alison Kyler Arce, a graduate from the University Of Richmond School Of Law, has been practicing law in Atlanta since 1997.

Ms. Arce's practice deals exclusively with family law issues, which include divorce, legitimation, custody, child support, and visitation. Ms. Arce has handled cases in all of the Metro Atlanta courts, and many of the outlying counties as well.  In matters involving minor children, the well-being of the child or children is Ms. Arce's primary focus.  Since the inception of the firm, Ms. Arce has also worked as a Guardian ad Litem, a court-appointed position focusing primarily on resolution of custody and visitation issues in the best interest of the child.

Ms. Arce began her legal career as an associate with a small Buckhead firm in 1997. Initially, Ms. Arce focused on transportation legal issues and provided representation to many of the bus, trucking, and courier companies located in the State of Georgia. Ms. Arce also became involved with family law issues during this time period, and increased her work in the domestic relations field over the next several years.

In early 2002, Ms. Arce decided that she could best serve her clients and also pursue her professional goals by commencing a solo practice and concentrating in the area of family law. On April 1, 2002, Alison K. Arce, P.C. d/b/a Law Offices of Alison Kyler Arce was established.

In December of 2005, Ms. Arce was honored to be selected as a part-time Magistrate Judge to serve on the Family Division of the Superior Court of Fulton County.  Due to her new judicial position, Ms. Arce is no longer able to represent litigation clients in any of the Fulton County courts.  However, she looks forward to continuing her private practice in all other Metro Atlanta counties.

In September of 2006, Ms. Arce was certified in the area of Collaborative Law, a new method of divorce practice based on mutual respect in a non-litigious setting.  This practice complements the “best interest of the child” approach that Ms. Arce has always applied, and she looks forward to handling more cases in the Collaborative method.  Because Collaborative practice is a non-litigation avenue, Ms. Arce is able to represent clients in all counties, including Fulton.

Ms. Arce is admitted to the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia, Georgia Supreme Court, 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
